ALL ABOUT MY EYELASH EXTENSIONS

So a big, expensive, thing going on right now is eyelash extensions. Now I know I am a little late to try this out. But I did it anyway. And if you don't already know what eyelash extensions are or how they work, I'll do my best to explain. But please note I am NOT an eyelash technician, so, if you have any questions, I can try to answer them, but it would be best to talk to a professional.

What are they?

Eyelash extensions, are much like extensions you were to put in your hair. They extend in length your natural lashes by putting an extension on it. They can also add volume and curl. So, long story short, the name explains it, they are eyelash extensions. Which also means you have to already have natural lashes.

How long do they take to put on?

The procedure itself is completely dependent on who you go to, how much practice they have, and their level of training. Also, the time it takes can depend on you, and how many natural lashes you have.
Another factor is some technicians do different "sets". The two most common are natural and volume. Natural is much less eyelashes on the eye, where as volume lashes there is plenty more.
Typically for a new set they take an hour and a half.
Mine ended up taking two and a half. Which was due to my abundance of natural lashes and getting a fuller set.

How are they put on?

The procedure of how they are put on seems relatively simple, in terms of steps. First they clean your eyes, than add a primer, following that they will choose the extensions dependent on the look you're seeking. You MUST have your eyes closed for the amount of times it takes, because the fumes from the glue can irritate your eyes if in direct contact. Next you fall asleep, which you may think is impossible when someone is poking at your eyes, but its very possible. I did it easily. The technician will than begin the process of separating one for your natural eyelashes from the rest. She then takes the extension, puts a very VERY small amount of glue, and she then will put it on top of your eyelash. She will then keep the eyelash separated from the rest for a little bit longer. This all continues till every eyelash, in my case, has an extension on it.

How much do they cost?

The cost... this is the big question. And the reason I took so long to get them. Where I live, they can cost anywhere between $50-$200+. They say you have to go with the higher price range to get a better set, the technician I went to normally charges somewhere in the middle. I was lucky enough to book an appointment on Black Friday and got 50% off.

So I only got my eyelashes done last night, but so far I have had no pain, no problems and no concerns. All I have to say are good things.
The picture I will have attached to this post are my lashes with extensions on them.
If you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them.

Thank you and enjoy!

BLOG REVIEW FOR "LITERALLY DARLING"

I was having a writers block today, didn't know what I wanted to say nor how I wanted to say it, so when I get like this I enjoy reading. I think its because I know that as all these writers and authors were writing they came upon writers blocks too. And yet somehow they came over it, and even though they had that writers block they overcame it and still managed to write something truly beautiful and captivating. Now they were able to do that, although I don't have that skill and the powerful use of words that professional authors do, or even that other bloggers do. And I think that may be because I truly say how I feel, just lay it out there. As for why I told you that I have a writers block and had no idea what I had wanted to say today, So instead I deciding to review and share with you guys an amazingly beautiful blog. One that truly inspires me, it is amazing and beautiful and captivating, everything I want mine to be. Except this blog isn't quite the same style. Here is the blog in talking about;
http://www.literallydarling.com/
If you have stumbled upon this blog you may have done the same thing as I did, and decide to read almost everything on it!! But if you haven't I strongly suggest reading it. And this isn't me broadcasting this blog as like an advertisement or anything, first off, definitely not big enough for that, secondly, the author(s) of this blog, have no idea I even exist. So yeah.. there is a sad reality.
But anyhow, no pity party for me today!! I want to share with you an amazingly written post located on Literally Darling, it is called, What I Learned After Being Ghosted Just As I Was Feeling Secure.
I suggest reading it so you know exactly what it is I am talking about.
But the way the words flow together they make you feel for the girl who is saying it. I can say from personal experience the feeling is awful. I didn't lose my dad, not even close. But just the bigger theme s something I understand, opening up to someone about something that affects you and than they leave. Nothing said. Just gone. The author of this post says at the end of her post this; "The problem isn’t me, because despite what you may think, I am not how you treat me." I think this is something everyone needs to hear. Because the way people think of you isn't how you are defined. You are your own person, not someone else's thoughts. Be you. Don't conform to the person people think you are. Don't fall for it. Stand tall. People leave because you are to good for the,. Let them leave. You're better off without them. Make them wish they still had you.
The post that I shared above is something I want to start doing on my blog. Personal stories that I can write out with a technique that is captivating. I wont be able to do this for a little while as I don't believe I have that kind of ability yet, but if you are interested in me trying something like this, leave a comment.

IS IT WORSE TO FAIL AT SOMETHING, OR NEVER ATTEMPT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE?

So as a bit of a starter before I get to the question of, "is it worse to fail or never attempt?". I want to state that this is my first "Philosophical Tuesday" and these posts are not suppose to anger anyone, or go against anyone's morals, it is merely a question I am sharing my beliefs on. If at any point you feel uncomfortable reading this know you can stop, and if you go to my "Contact Me" page you can send me an email stating why you feel I went against you and I will review it and respond. Again though, this is just a question I choose to answer with my beliefs and views. I hope I get people thinking and I hope people enjoy. Thank you!!

I'm sure we have all been asked or begged by a friend to play a sport, say baseball with them. And maybe your response went a little something like this, "No way. I suck at baseball!!" That probably would have been my response anyway, at least up until now. Because now I've really thought about the question stated above about, is it worse to fail? or never attempt?
My belief is that it is better to fail. Why might this be? because you can never know if you're good at something or if you enjoy something unless you've tried it. Lets say, for example, in gym class when you're really young, you don't have a fear of failing to hold you back, not really anyway. So you choose to participate in every game that the teacher chooses to play. This is what probably made you decide that you like certain sports and hate others. You know this, because you attempted it. Maybe you failed it the first few times, or many times, or maybe you just suck at the sport, but because you attempted it you can make that decision, or no its not really my sport, or I LOVE this game!!
Lets look at another way to view things;
You probably got your first job around the age of 15 or 16, some maybe younger, some maybe older, just that is the average. So I'm going to guess most people began working at either McDonalds, Tim Hortons or a little restaurant in their area. Maybe you didn't just bear with me. If that was your first job I'm assuming you applied just because you wanted money, not because that's what you wanted to do with your entire life. So you work here for a while, and you hate it. This means you now know, this is NOT what you want to do with your life, AT ALL!! It was an attempt that taught you that. So from that attempt in the fast food business you decide to stay as far away from those "Now Hiring" signs as possible, and at this point you're 18, and you decide to apply as a receptionist at the local Law Office, after all, you want to be a lawyer. Once again you work at this place, attempting it, and guess what? The environment just isn't for you, so the next step is, okay, lets do a whole life change, I don't want to go to college for this anymore, I want to go here for this. And with that you get accepted into Social Service Worker at the college a few hours away. You decided not to apply for part time at the foster care unit because you don't want to jinx it, you would hate to realize this is early that Social work wasn't your thing either. And ultimately its isn't. You get your degree and you get a job. And its just not for you. If you would have attempted it earlier you wouldn't have wasted so much time and money. but now you're stuck, at least till you make some more money.
With all of this being said, I believe that it is worse to not attempt something at all, than to fail because you did make that attempt. You gain experience and knowledge by attempting and doing new things, especially when you end up failing, it makes you think of the things you could do differently next time to make yourself better. So long story short, try baseball, try soccer, try everything you have the chance to, even if its a little work shop in the community where you can make things for the people in the hospital, maybe its something you find you really enjoy doing, Without attempting stuff you'll never know anything about yourself, don't be scared to fail. Learn from your failures.

WHAT MY SECOND SEMESTER IS LIKE

So for many of us who are in high school we just got back to school for our second semester, sadly.. I find the first day back is so boring, and although it goes by very quick you just wish you didn't have to be at school. Or that's the run down with me anyway. I did not want to wake up this morning, nor did I want to go to sleep last night, not knowing when I woke up it was a whole new load of classes. One great thing for me though is that my second semester is a heck of a lot easier and less course work load than my first semester. Semester one looked like this;
English
Sociology, Anthropology and Psychology
Biology
Chemistry
Where are my second semester looks like this;
Physics
Functions
Healthcare
Philosophy
Although my morning may seem terrible since its pretty much all math that may be changing tomorrow as I am looking into a timetable change. Physics isn't needed for what I want to go to University for, so I don't think I want to take it and risk getting a low mark in which would lower my average. Although I will update you on the whole physics thing once I myself figure it all out. As for know that is what my course load is like. I'm definitely looking forward to my philosophy class the mist out of the four courses, for anyone who doesn't know, philosophy is "the study of knowledge, reality and, existence. And if that still leaves you unclear as to what it is it is the process of exploring large questions in life, such as, "is there a superior power, such as god?" or "do people have a destiny or a fate?" or another big question is, "what makes us human?" These are some questions in which I will be exploring through my philosophy course, and for our units we will be holding debates and also journals, in which we write down and argue why we think one way with logical thinking.
So I'm sorry for this little ramble, probably not to exciting, but I'm thinking maybe I'm going to start doing "Philosophical Tuesdays" where I will explore one of life's many big questions. I will be sharing my beliefs on the question and will hope it will open up the comments for people to share their thoughts on the subject being explored. If this is something that interests you, leave a comment down below or stay tuned! You can subscribe to emails over to the right, where it should say "follow by email" this will allow you to receive emails regarding my new posts!!
Thank you for reading my little chat and I'm hoping to update again tomorrow!!

THIS THING CALLED, THE PLUNGER TOSS

You probably think this post is going to be messed up considering the title claims I'm talking about this thing called, The Plunger Toss. And the image going through your head is people throwing plungers into toilets like its a sport, and I wish I could say that image is not even close to what it actually is, but... that image is exactly what it is. In a small town I visit frequently there is an outdoor rink where, in February, more than 100 people gather to throw toilet plungers into stinky old toilets probably picked up from a dump. I'm kidding about that part, but they are EXTREMELY old and beaten up from the annual sport called The Plunger Toss. Below is going to be a diagram illustration exactly what this "sport" is and how it is played.
So without judging my art, this picture pretty much explains the entire game. You toss the plunger, into the toilet. Yayy!!
If the plunger lands into the toilet bowl you get more points than if it were to land in the circle surrounding the toilet. Now this probably sounds extremely dumb, and maybe it is, but while you're playing it, its probably the best most entertaining thing that anyone will ever do! So it makes it worth it!! And if you're the lucky winner you get a trophy ;) what could be more exciting than getting to explain why you have a trophy that has a toilet and plunger on it!! oh yeah, right. NOTHING!
But actual rules for the game is, if you can imagine horseshoes, you throw a plunger while standing on your preferred side of the toilet, and if the plunger lands inside of the toilet you receive 10 points, whereas if it lands in the surrounding circle you will only receive 1. The game starts off as a round robin tournament which after four, twenty minutes games quickly turns into a game of elimination, its a fight till the death for those whole heartedly into the game, which most people are!
MY RESULTS;
And the most anticipated part of this blog is the results in which were achieved by my group, and here they are; we won two out of the four games played in round robin, losing one game to people who were cheating, and to another team who were INSANLY good!! And after the round robin we made it through the first set of elimination although lost in the final seconds as someone got a 10 point flush!!
So that is what occupied my Saturday, if anyone else has any fun stories of how they enjoy spening their weekends leave a comment!
And together we will;
Make a Creak!!

ONE THING EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW

When you are little you always hear, "awwe, aren't you so cute" or maybe its "you look like a sweetheart". Either way, or whatever alternative it could be that is along those lines, you stop hearing it the older you get. And maybe since I said that you're starting to think about it, and are like, damn, she's right. But the thing is, the older you get, the more insecure you get and the more you need to hear it. So this isn't going to be an overly long post today, its going to be relatively straight to the point, an its just going to be me telling you everything that I think you need to hear.
First of all, you're beautiful/handsome.
You're adorable.
You're loved.
You have a life ahead of you, and you can do WHATEVER makes you happy.
Doctors aren't the only people who make money in this world. You don't need that 95% average.
You put a smile on someone's face.
Someone cant stop thinking about you, even if its a stranger who saw you at the bus stop.
Do what you love.
Some day your life is going to sort its self out, don't stress.
You don't have to be a size 2 to be beautiful, everyone is.
You don't have to have a 6 pack to be hot, everyone is.
If they hit you, leave. They don't love you.
Having sex doesn't make you a slut.
Not having sex doesn't make you a prude.
You don't have to be makeup to be accepted.
You don't have to play hockey to be cool.
You will go some where in life.
Eat what you want, stop counting the calories. We know you are capable of counting higher than 90.
AND NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE ELSE SAYS YOURE PERFECT, THE PEOPLE WHO PUT YOU DOWN ARE TRYING TO BRING YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL. STAND TALL. SPEAK UP. BE YOU. YOURE PERFECT, LOVED, AMAZING AND, STRONG.

I hope I made someone smile when they read this. You have an amazing smile. Everyone does. And everyone deserves to feel good about themselves, just because people don't tell you as much doesn't mean they don't think it.

Make a Creak.
